At Cebado we know how to do something that is as easy and as difficult as cutting, styling and caring for the hair of people who prefer comfort and practicality over extravagance or superficiality.
First through vocation and then through training, we professionals at Cebado manage to transform technique into fashion, elegance and beauty, at the same time that we help today’s men and women show themselves just the way they are and the way they like to be: as themselves.
Cebado Salons thus become an experience of wellbeing, comfort, personalisation and an obsession with the details, which our guests view as a unique space and time where they are cared for and pampered as they are also listened to and given sound advice.
This experience is possible because we feel proud of being hairstylists and keeping our unique, different way of doing and viewing hairstyling and society in the 21st century.
Have you been here?
BEST COLOR & HAIRCUT EVER!!!!
I've been at Cebado for both color and haircut . Recently relocated in New york i have been" shopping around" for a new colorist /stylist and tried Andres here . i must say i was very pleased with the beautiful highlights he did on my hair . i'm a very difficult 'blonde' cause my hair turns red very easily , he clearly knew what he was doing cause the warm i used to see in my hair is gone after the new highlights .. for haircut i have been extremely happy as the layers have grown out beautifully and i can still style it a month later like the cut was yesterday, i will be coming now to Andres , if you want great highlights and cut go see him !!!!
AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL. I tried Cebado through their living social deal. I had a TERRIBLE experience. My ‘stylist’, Andres, was beyond rude; he gave me a curt welcome, and talked over as I was explaining what I wanted done with my hair. Things were off to a bad start, and they only got worse. When he was done with my hair, he turned me around in the chair – and one side of my hair was COMPLETELY different from the other. Rather than the angled bob I requested and that he was able to do on ONE SIDE of my head, he had given me a strange future-esque (in a bad way) cut on the other side: the back of my head did not flow into the front of my hair – it was as if I had a flap of hair over my ear that was longer and completely disconnected from the back (which was in addition FAR shorter than what he had said he was going to do as he talked over me before he started cutting my hair). I’ve had stylists make mistakes before, but they were always quick to apologize and try to fix things.
When I asked him to fix it, he first denied that the sides were different. (!) He eventually agreed that they were different, but told me that it was my fault, because I had come into the salon with two different lengths of hair. (WHAT!? Is that not the dumbest thing you’ve ever heard!? If a client comes in with a bad cut, your job as a stylist is to FIX it … not make it worse. wtf.) Anyway. It got to the point that he was arguing with me, telling me that it was not his fault. My horrible experience with Andres ended with me ripping off my smock/cape and leaving his chair. I went up to the receptionist, asked her for a second opinion, and she agreed with me – the two sides of my hair were completely different. She was nice enough and was able to get another stylist to ‘fix’ my hair (although this stylist said there was nothing really he could do unless we cut my hair super short, and that I would just have to wait until it grew out).
I cannot tell you how frustrating of an experience this was. I have NEVER been treated so rudely by a stylist. The fact that he interrupted me and then ARGUED with me, rather than apologizing and immediately trying to address my concerns is totally unacceptable. If I were the manager at Cebado I would fire Andres IMMEDIATELY, given the extreme ineptitude at his job as well as his horrible attitude and inability to work with clients.
Dreadful bad service and below par result for the Brazilian Blowout which cost a total of $400. Friends and colleagues saw the end result of my Brazilian Blowout and said it was a bad job done -- hair was still frizzy and fluffy and had a major kink in one section. Apart from the lousy service and skills, it is also more expensive than many hair salons in the area. Certainly was not worth $400! Oh, and the guy who did my Brazilian Blowout was out smoking pot in between working on my hair -- could smell it in his breath everytime he came back from his "break". Probably why he did a bad job to begin with.
Definitely will not be back there ever. I've done the Brazilian Blowout other times before and have seen wonderful results but this has got to be the worse result I've seen.
I went back 3 days after doing the $400 Brazilian Blowout and asked if they could look at my hair and assess if any touch ups could be done. The owner (some tall burly looking Spanish guy in a suit?) comes up to me and attacks me about how I don't understand how the product works. He didn't even look at my hair or ask to clarify what my concern was. He accused me of having unrealistic expectations of the Brazilian Blowout. I told him I had done the Brazilian Blowout before so I know what it is about (straight but natural looking hair with body) and I know how good the result can look. I've done it before so I know what I'm talking about when I say some sections don't look done properly and all I wanted was for them to assess it. The boss continued to be rude to be and insisted I did not understand the product and I have unrealistic expectations -- all this without even assessing my hair and providing a solution -- as if I was trying to cheat him of a free additional treatment/touch up job.
I told him I did not like this tone -- but he won't let up and went on a rant. Considering I had spent $400 on this treatment, this was truely appalling customer serivce. I told him I didn't appreciate it and was getting rather annoyed with his tone and rudeness and he said he "DIDN'T CARE WHAT I THOUGHT AS IT WAS HIS STORE." That was it. It was the rudest thing I ever heard from any professional hair salon. I walked out and left and the owner continued to hurl abuse at me, telling me he doesn't care what I or what consumers think!
NO customer should ever have to deal with bad and rude service like this. If owners don't recognize the power of customer opinion and customer service, they deserve to shut down.
This is definitely the worst hair salon I've ever been too. You can definitely get cuts just as good at other salons without having to put up with the attitude and for cheaper! Totally unprofessional, bad quality and a waste of your money.

The salon was pretty busy on a saturday afternoon. I had to wait just a bit before getting to sit down even though I had an appointment. Normally I wouldnt' have minded but I was running late for an event! The staff was very welcoming though. My stylist was talkative and sociable and I left with a great blowout. I would definitely return for a blowout and I may try a haircut there soon.

I bought this great MobDeal on Wahanda for a blowout with Cebado, a salon chain from Spain that recently opened its first US salon on Park Avenue, really close to home! I decided to use my voucher one Friday evening after a particularly long week, needing to pamper myself before going out for some drinks. Luckily I was able to call the salon that afternoon and book a blowout for that evening. Though I do not recommend doing this, I had to call twice to move my appointment and they were incredibly understanding and flexible.
Antonio, one of the owners, was my stylist, and it was the perfect blowout experience, just what I needed this Friday night. I got a wonderful scalp massage and we had a nice little chat as my hair was being washed. He informed me that the salon had started to offer other services, such as facials, massages and eyelash/eyebrow treatments, which I'll definitely try in the future.
Then we got to the blowout, which can be tricky, for I find that my hair usually ends up stick straight or a massive curly mess, ala the 1980s.
Luckily, Antonio understood perfectly what I wanted and did his magic, creating a style that reminded me of the sleek, wavy blowouts I so envy in the pages of fashion magazines. I think Cebado has become my blowout place, and so happy to have found them. Thanks Wahanda!

Cebado opened just around the corner from me. The place is sparkling new-- a very clean, white modern atmosphere. It's a little disorganized, but overall, the stylist did a really nice job blow drying my hair. I wasn't overwhelmed by the customer service, but I'll most likely head back at some point. I would recommend giving it a whirl.
